Liam: 18 months
I would consider Liam a great sleeper. Don't get me wrong we have hard nights, but as long as he is healthy and not teething than he is great! Teething that's a joke, they teeth off and on until all 20 baby teeth have erupted! So be ready new and expecting moms!! It took sleep training starting at 6 months to get him that way. Only about 3 days with lots of tears for him and I, after that not so bad!
We have a bedtime routine that starts at 6:30; stories, bottle (no judgement we are working on that), brush teeth and than bed. Bed by 7pm sometimes 6:30pm if he is ready. He goes down awake and happy. Most nights he will sleep until morning; 6:30-7am
Jaxson: 7 weeks
No routine yet. He usually goes down about 7:30pm for his first stretch of sleep. A few times we have gone 3.5 hours, but mostly he does 2.5-3 hour stretches. We just moved him into his own room at 6 weeks. That is making him and us sleep much better. He is a very noisy sleeper so I was constantly checking on him which than would disturb him. I'm breast feeding, but actually we are having a hard time with that. Have the supply, but he is having a hard time seeming satisfied during and after a feeding. Work in progress.
Back to the rough
nights! Since bringing Jaxson home, Liam has been waking up 1-2 times a night for milk or me! Jeff will try and comfort him but he wants nothing to do with Jeff in the middle of the night. Which than makes me jumping from room to room. So if you think about the 2.5-3 hour stretch Jaxson does and than add possible Liam time I'm getting up every 1.5 hours or so! I'm exhausted! Jeff gets up for work at 4:39am so I try really hard to not have him get up with the boys past midnight, not always possible though.
It's a huge adjustment for the whole family!! I guess I never really appreciated sleep before. I am learning that the laundry and dishes can wait and I nap when the boys do which is usually around noon if Im lucky enough for it to be at the same time.
So worth it regardless of how many hours I sleep! Just thankful that I get to be home with my boys everyday!
